GNOME and KDE is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) or environtment desktop (desktopenvironment) that allows users to access applications on linux. Actually it's not just only aGUI GNOME and KDE are there, but there is also the name aIceWM, XFCE, Blackbox,and Fluxbox.


KDE is a desktop environment (desktop environment) and application developmentplatform built with the Qt toolkit from Trolltech. KDE runs on many different Unix systems,including Linux, BSD and Solaris. There is also a KDE version for Mac OS X with thehelp of layers for X11 and Microsoft Windows with the help of Cygwin.


The difference is:

A. KDE-oriented graphical display so that it looks more beautiful than GNOME is not so"great interest in view while also not ignoring at all".

2. GNOME over using less memory than KDE, GNOME, so performance is relatively faster than KDE (this is not possible because of GNOME graphics oriented but rather tosave memory).
